About 60%-70% of the factory springs were .063" thick spring factory stock. Often Vehicles May Have The Thicker One Already In The Valve Body - Still Replace It !
Extremely common for these to become worn out even on moderate mileage units. Most models that completely lose overdrive have a broken spring. Many of our shift kits also feature an upgraded spring in them as well. Cascade support told me in an email response that I may have a broken Accumulator Spring and to be sure to check on it while doing a solenoid upgrade. I did and yes...my Accumulator Spring was snapped in half!! Transmission is 100%, shifts great and even the banging and lurching under acceleration going uphill is now gone!! Thank You for helping us DIY customers.

I bought the whole pan kit for my truck, and thanks because I never would have found the broken spring just replacing the solenoids alone.
