This Allison 1000 PSM is distinct for its Black Insert on the Pressure Switch Side of the part.
Please see photos for switch that we are referring to.
This switch triggers the shifts through pressure.
It Processes transmission pressure information very much like a regulator.
Commonly the diaphrams inside this will become plugged.
This will cause intermittant shift problems as well as erratic codes.
This should be replaced during any rebuild ,
and common to be replaced about every 100,000 miles.
Our matching direct-fit replacement transmission pressure switch assembly monitors
fluid pressure and communicates with the PCM to adjust line pressure,
shift solenoid operation, and torque converter clutch operation to restore drivability
which helps extend transmission life.
Mounts To Bottom Of The Valve Body, requires pan removal for replacement.

Had A Check Engine Code For A Problem About This Switch, Ordered This One & Installed - Easy But Messy Repair - Beware Fluid Drips ; Otherwise This Worked Great And Fixed The Problem ! ! ! !
