This Planet Will Fit All 4T65E Automatic Transmission Applications
These transmissions are well known for planet issues.
They have thin bronze washers on both sides of the pinion gears.
These thin bronze washers wear away and get thin over time.
This leaves the planets pinion gears to have too much play and be out of spec.
They should have between .008"-.025" of play.
If the pinion gears are outside of those specs the planet will need replacing.
Additionally the planet gears have many hard face gear issues.
They are common to have gear "Frost" or Pitting.
