Upon Dis-Assembly & During rebuild
many of these shells show wear along the lugs from Reverse drum contact points
This wear will create a clunk sound during drive engagement.
Additionally the Sun Gears are notorious for pitting out on the hard face surface.
Typically 8 out of every 10 units rebuilt needs this shell replaced during the process.
This shell has been used by industry professionals rebuilders for years.
Technical Note:
The non magnetic aspect allows the rear case mounted speed sensor to read revolutions through it.
