Symptoms of a Faulty Output Speed Sensor:
Harsh or Improper Shifting: Incorrect speed signals can lead to rough or mistimed gear changes.
Erratic or Inaccurate Speedometer Readings: Since the output speed sensor is a key input for the speedometer,
a faulty sensor can cause the reading to be inconsistent or non-functional.
Cruise Control Issues: The PCM may disable cruise control if it doesn't receive reliable speed data from the sensor.
Check Engine Light Illumination: A faulty output speed sensor can trigger the check engine light.
Inability to Engage Torque Converter Clutch: The torque converter clutch relies on the speed sensor
to apply correctly; failure can cause slipping and reduced fuel economy.
