Fits All A618 / 47RH / 47RE Automatic Transmission applications
This ring gear is the clutch hub for the forward drum clutches.
When the clutch pack in the forward drum fails it gets very hot.
This happens due to lack of fluid or fluid pressure loss.
This excessive heat from the clutches will weld the ring gear inside the forward drum.
If there is any sign of heat on the ring gear than it will need to be replaced.
This rear ring gear is a Stock replacement for 47RE / 47RH 1988-2002 applications.
