" RFE " Governor Pressure Transducer

Sometimes Called A Line Pressure Sensor or Case Sensor

This Fits All The Below Transmission Applications :

45RFE / 45-RFE
545RFE / 5-45RFE
65RFE / 65-RFE
66RFE / 66-RFE
68RFE / 68-RFE

This is the most up to date Oem Brand New Product , and not an offshore item ( Avoid Those ).
Early Designs of this part were brass , and frequently leaked.
This contains 4 pins inside the plastic connector plug.
This part sends interior case pressure to the TCM.
The function is very much like a trigger or measuring unit to relay case pressure information.

As this mounts externally on the transmission case this can be exposed to damage from ground debris.
Like many electrical items these do just fail from time to time.
Our second and third image show location on the passenger side rear ,
or also know as the right hand side just in front of the extension housing.

Check engine codes may be present when it's time to replace this , but more often no codes present.

Some Codes For This May Be :

P0733, P0734, P0867, P0868, P0932, P1756, P1757

These are found on numerous Chrysler, Dodge, & Jeep 4.7L and 5.7L Hemi Engine Applications.
This would include Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango's, Rams, Chrysler Aspens to name a few.

Tech Tip :

Very simple replacement and should take no more than 5 minutes to replace this.
Suggested to lightly coat the o-ring with ATF before install.
This will help it ease into place, and create a good seal.
The harness connection will have a small tab to depress, then gently slide the harness off.
Don't pull on wires as they can rip out of the connector pigtail itself.
