Borg Warner Heavy Duty Pressure Solenoid
This Will Fit Every Dodge & Jeep "RE" Model On The Road

One of the most common failures for these transmissions.
We have taken a photo Of this solenoid vs a stock solenoid - see second photo
Borg is pictured Left , Oem is pictured on the right.
As you can see the Borg solenoid is dramatically larger.
The Extra Size gives you more magnet force , more spool valve force , and 15% more flow capacity.
This solenoid will not flood out at increased line pressures.
These aspects make it ideal for high performance / towing models.
All of these qualities translate into smoother shifts , and overall better reliability.

Third Image is a scan of the Borg Warner Spec/Info sheet that is included with this solenoid.

This is an Easy replacement with the transmission still in the truck.

This Upgrades Fits the below Automatic Transmission Models:
A500 / 42RE / 44RE

Strong Suggestion
It is Suggested to also replace the
Governor Pressure Sensor (96 to 99) - our part # 12415B
Transducer (2000 Up) - our part # 12415C
at the same time as doing this repair.

Nearly half the time both items have failed , or one has taken out the other.
Another thing to keep in mind is how many times do you want to have the pan off ?

Don't Forget a filter and pan gasket.

Other Reference Part #'s    12877HD / B12432A

Can't ask for much more.
Jeff Frank (Wichita, KS) 10/25/2014 7:32 AM
Okay in an effort to help others who may be in a similar situation I'll give a brief description. 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0 42re was missing all gears some worse than others and whining with way too much fluid on the stick. Baught this solenoid as well as the transducer and accumulator spring. Replaced parts and did a band adjustment and here I am with a smooth shifting Jeep for $126. As far as Cascade the company, I can't say enough about them. Top notch guys (or guy idk) w/ everything you need to take of these very common transmission problems. The videos and quick service make it about as convenient as it could be.

Amazing Product Support
Jim S. (Plymouth , MN) 6/17/2014 11:51 PM
I want to thank you for all your help and tips to get my Dodge up and going again. I watched the video several times and thought I was ready to go. I must admit this was the first transmission I ever worked on like this. I thought I had done it all the correct way, I checked it backwards and forwards and checked it again, but I just could not get it to shift by it self. We just did not have the money to pay some one to do the work. I took the trans pan off a total of three times to recheck that all the new parts were installed correctly. It was looking me in the face all the time. The Governor Solenoid was in the wrong ring groove which your other video covered. I wish I wasn't trying to rush through the repair quite so fast. I'm embarrassed about my stupidity but not to proud to thank you for your Fine Kit , Prompt Email Support and Excellent Overall Help. Thanks again.
