Hardend Splines For Converter Hub Contact Point
These shafts are almost always worn on the splines even on stock light duty models.
This mounts to the rear of the transmission pump.
Heavy Duty / Heat Treated Splines for the torque converter.
The splines on this shaft will not give out !
Upon Dis-Assembly 8 out of 10 of these transmission need this replaced.
When the stock splines fail they contaminate the unit with metal debris.
The effects from this can be seen in the valve body bores , and throughout the unit.
Also the converter hub will commonly be destroyed as well.
